This Refund Policy explains when and how you can obtain a refund for a purchase of DockDuck (“the App”), offered by Heylel Labs, operated by Martin Pacheco (“DockDuck”, “we”, “us”, “our”). It forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service.
Because DockDuck is sold through our Merchant of Record, Sold through Link, LLC (formerly Lemon Squeezy, LLC) (“Lemon Squeezy”), refunds are issued and processed by Lemon Squeezy on our instruction, back to your original payment method.
1. 14-day money-back guarantee
We offer a voluntary 14-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied with the App for any reason, you may request a full refund within fourteen (14) calendar days of your purchase date, no questions asked. Because DockDuck offers a free trial, we encourage you to evaluate it fully before buying; the guarantee is in addition to that trial.
2. Statutory rights (EU / EEA / UK and others)
If you are a consumer in the EU, EEA, or UK, you may have a statutory right of withdrawal of 14 days for distance purchases. Note that for digital content delivered immediately (such as a software download), this statutory right can be waived when you expressly consent to immediate supply and acknowledge that you thereby lose the right of withdrawal — which you may be asked to confirm at checkout. Regardless of any such waiver, we honor the voluntary 14-day money-back guarantee in Section 1. Nothing in this Policy limits any mandatory consumer rights you have under the law of your country of residence, which apply in addition to this Policy.
3. How to request a refund
To request a refund, do one of the following within the eligible window:
- Email martin@heylellabs.com from the email address used at purchase; or
- Use the refund/receipt link provided by Lemon Squeezy in your purchase confirmation email.
Please include your order number (and the purchase email) so we can locate and verify your order. We may need to verify your identity before processing.
4. Processing and timing
Once approved, refunds are issued by Lemon Squeezy to your original payment method. We aim to review requests within 2–3 business days. After a refund is issued, it may take additional time (often 5–10 business days) for your bank or card issuer to post it, which is outside our control.
5. Effect of a refund
Upon issuing a refund, your License will be revoked and the associated License Key deactivated. You must stop using the paid App and delete any installed copies, consistent with our Terms of Service. Continuing to use a refunded License is a breach of those Terms.
6. After the 14-day window
Beyond 14 days, refunds are generally not available, because the free trial and the 14-day guarantee give you ample opportunity to evaluate the App. We may still grant a refund or other remedy at our discretion — for example, where a confirmed defect materially impairs the App and we are unable to provide a fix or workaround within a reasonable time.
7. Subscriptions (if applicable)
If you purchased a subscription rather than a one-time license, you may cancel at any time to stop future renewals. Cancellation stops the next renewal; it does not, by itself, refund the current billing period, unless required by law or covered by the 14-day guarantee in Section 1. Renewal charges are non-refundable beyond the 14-day window except where required by law.
8. Duplicate or accidental purchases
If you were charged more than once for the same license, or made an obvious accidental purchase, contact us promptly and we will refund the duplicate or erroneous charge regardless of the 14-day window.
9. Chargebacks
If you have a problem with a charge, please contact us first — most issues are resolved quickly. Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute instead of requesting a refund may result in immediate deactivation of your License and may affect your ability to purchase from us in the future.
